Since 2013, Budapest City Archives regularly organize educational days for colleagues working at church archives in Hungary, as well as for Hungarian archivists in the neighboring countries. This year, the event was organized between November 4-6. On the first day of the workshop, the principal investigator of the Sovereignty ERC project, András Fejérdy held a presentation in Hungarian on the organization of the Vatican Apostolic Archives, their main collections, and presented the practical aspects of conducting research in the Vatican. He paid particular attention to the documents of the apostolic nunciatures operating in Hungary and the neighbouring countries, as well as to the files of the Congregation for Extraordinary Ecclesiastical Affairs. Fejérdy illustrated the diversity of research opportunities through a few examples.
